Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEN needs (including ASD, SEMH, and MLD).
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes progress and independence.
- Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to ensure each child’s needs are fully met.
- Track and assess student progress using EHCP targets and appropriate assessment tools.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, IEPs, and multi-agency planning.
- Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social development.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with SEN pupils, ideally in a specialist or inclusive setting.
- Confident in adapting teaching strategies to support various learning needs.
- Strong understanding of the UK SEN framework and safeguarding practices.
- Patient, resilient, and committed to making a difference in children’s lives.
