Main Purpose
To support the SENCO and wider inclusion team by ensuring effective organisation and documentation of SEN processes, supporting statutory procedures (EHCPs), liaising with external agencies and parents/carers, and contributing to the smooth running of SEN and pastoral provision across the school.
About the Role
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the SENCO and pastoral team
- Oversee the booking system for parents’ evenings and coordinate pastoral events
- Act as the first point of contact for SEN-related queries from parents, carers, staff, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate SEN records on the school MIS, support data reporting, and uphold GDPR/data protection standards
- Schedule and organise meetings (EHCP reviews, parent meetings, external agencies) and prepare documentation
- Support communication between SENCO, staff, and pastoral teams to meet students’ needs

- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High confidentiality and professionalism
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other IT systems
- Builds positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Willingness to develop and learn in the role
- Friendly, committed, and hardworking
Desirable
- Experience in a school or SEN environment
- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and education legislation
- Experience taking minutes and writing reports
- Training in safeguarding and data protection (or willingness to undertake)
- Familiarity with SIMS or Provision Map
