Safeguarding

Before we send any teacher to an educational provider we will perform relevant checks to ensure the safety of our Partners and Teachers

Pre-Employment Checks

All applicants will undergo the following checks:

  • A face-to-face interview, conducted by an experienced education
    professional , in light of the current climate this may be on Skype, Zoom or other appropriate platform
  • References from 2 previous employers
  • Enhanced DBS and children’s barred list check, plus an overseas criminal record check where the candidate has lived overseas
  • Identity and right to work in the UK
  • A check of the UK Prohibition from Teaching list and the EEA Teaching Restrictions and Sanctions list
  • A check of the candidate’s qualifications and teaching status, where
    appropriate
  • Confirmation that the candidate is not disqualified from working with children under the Children Act, where appropriate

We comply fully with the requirements and recommendations set out by the Department for Education in Keeping Children Safe in Education and by the Welsh Government in Keeping Learners Safe.

We are committed to ongoing quality assurance and rigorous safeguarding. We work with schools and academy trusts to collate regular feedback about every candidate we place, so that our team can respond quickly and deal with issues promptly, including reporting information to the Disclosure and Barring Service or Teaching Regulation Agency where appropriate.
