Safeguarding
At Premium Educators, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. Before we send any teacher or support staff member to an educational provider, we carry out rigorous checks to ensure the safety of pupils, our partner schools, and our candidates.
Pre-Employment Checks
All applicants undergo a thorough safeguarding and compliance process, which includes:

Face-to-Face Interview
Conducted by an experienced education professional. In light of current circumstances, this may be conducted via Skype, Zoom, or another secure platform. -
References
At least two professional references are obtained, covering the candidate’s most recent employment. -
Enhanced DBS & Barred List Checks
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is carried out, alongside a check against the children’s barred list. For candidates who have lived overseas, an additional overseas police check is required. -
Identity & Right to Work
Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the UK. -
Prohibition & Sanctions Lists
A check against the UK Prohibition from Teaching list and the EEA Teaching Restrictions and Sanctions list. -
Qualifications & Teaching Status
Confirmation of all relevant qualifications and QTS status where applicable. -
Disqualification from Working with Children
Where appropriate, confirmation that candidates are not disqualified under the Children Act.
We fully comply with the Department for Education’s Keeping Children Safe in Education and the Welsh Government’s Keeping Learners Safe guidance.

Regulatory Reporting – referring concerns to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) where appropriate.
